Set of Mid-Century Amber Art Glass Creamer & Cup

US$495.00

A collector-grade mid-century amber art glass creamer and matching cup, executed in a saturated honey-to-topaz tone with exceptional luminosity. This heavier-weight, hand-finished duo embodies the sculptural restraint and material presence prized in serious glass collections.

The creamer presents in a classic bulbous baluster form, rising from a defined footed base and culminating in a cleanly drawn pour spout. The applied handle is confidently pulled and integrated, displaying the subtle asymmetry and organic tension that distinguish studio-handled work from factory uniformity. The accompanying cup echoes the same amber tonality and substantial wall weight, with a proportioned loop handle and gently flared rim that feels deliberate and balanced in hand.

Together, the set reads as refined mid-century studio-style amber glass—highly aligned with current 2026 collector interest in sculptural barware, tonal glass layering, and warm monochrome tablescapes. The color saturation and density allow light to pool richly at the base, creating a jewel-like glow on display. Ideal for elevated bar cart styling, curated open shelving, or as a distinctive alternative to traditional cream-and-sugar service.

Attribution & Period

Unmarked. Attributed to mid-20th-century studio or small-batch art glass production, circa 1955–1975, based on glass weight, applied handle construction, and form language consistent with North American and European studio trends of the period.

Dimensions & Weight:

  • Cup: 3 in. diameter at rim; 2.5 in. height

  • Creamer: approximately 4 in. height
Heavier-weight glass with substantial base thickness; exact weight available upon request.

Condition; Excellent presentation - Minor surface wear and light scuffing consistent with age and careful use; No visible cracks or structural damage observed; No maker’s mark present. Displays cleanly and confidently in natural light.

Authenticity & Construction; Blown and tooled art glass with applied handles. Evidence of hand-finishing and subtle variation in handle attachment consistent with studio or artisan production. The density and internal color gradation confirm true amber batch glass rather than surface staining.

Placement

An elevated accent for:
Mid-century modern interiors
Sculptural barware collections
Layered amber or tonal glass displays
Collector-driven cabinet installations
Tray shown in styling imagery not included.

STANDARD ATTRIBUTION & VALUE DISCLOSURE; This piece is described to the best of current scholarly and market knowledge. Any maker or regional attribution is based on visual analysis, materials, construction techniques, and documented stylistic comparisons. As with many vintage and antique glass objects, definitive attribution may not be possible without original labels or factory records. Pricing reflects condition, quality, decorative appeal, and current collector demand rather than a guaranteed maker identification.
