Amber Pressed Glass Dish 6.25" Starburst c1930s
A luminous vintage amber (golden) pressed glass square dish with crisp starburst and floral/pinwheel motifs and a beaded/scalloped rim. This richly patterned style is strongly associated with North American pressed glass made for everyday elegance; used as vanity dishes, bonbon/candy dishes, and small serving pieces; especially during the Depression-era through early post-war years, when amber glass was popular for the way it glows under lamplight and displays beautifully in cabinets.
